What's New: Hello! I've recently returned from the Aspen Jazz Festival with the David Basse group, which included long time studo presence Mike Melvoin on piano, Bill Goodwyn drummer with Phil Woods, and others. I met many cool cats while I was out there including, Mike Melvoin, Les McCann, Ernie Watts, and others.

Bryan Hicks is a Kansas City jazz musician who has shared both his vocal talent and bass playing all over the world. Bryan's a local favorite in Kansas City, and can be found playing at clubs such as Boozefish, The American Restaurant, Plaza III, and the Fairmont Hotel, to name just a few. Bryan is playing with David Basse, Ahmed Aaladean, and Holeman, Hicks, and Hill (vocal ensemble) all on a regular basis. He's also currently working in a combo with guitarist Rod Fleeman. Over the years he's played with jazz legends such as Jay McShann, Mike Melvoin, and Karrin Allyson, among many others. Bryan's outgoing personality, and the love he has for jazz, radiate through to his audience during each performance.
